The Website of Korafilm, film production for corporate communication based in Darmsatdt, is online.
The Drupal service providers Berger Schmidt developed the website after drafts of the designer Steffen Bergemann. The texts were written by the marketing consultant Julia Becker. The Editorial is done by the cameraman and filmmaker Kalja Rashke himself.
The website is based on the content management system Drupal and contains a project portfolio with videos, hosted by Vimeo integrated with the Media-Modul, as well as news and other informations.

The Drupal service providers Berger Schmidt developed the site on behalf of the Frankfurt based agency Standard Rad, using the open source content management system Drupal.
The website of Waechter + Waechter contains an extensive project archive, grouped into the categories Public buildings, University and School buildings, Social housing, Housing - as well as the documentation of awards, competitions, publications und lectures.
The elaborately programmed GUI uses a lot of tables for a structured presentation of the content, and enables dynamical loading and sorting of the data as well as animations via JavaScript.

The World Press Trends Database of the WAN-IFRA is online!
During the development Berger Schmidt supported the organisation with interface design and front-end programming. Next to the Country Reports and the Global Summaries, applications are provided to create custom reports and print versions of the documents. A special highlight are the bar charts which are formated with (X)HTML and CSS.
About the World Press Trends Database
World Press Trends is the primary and most authoritative source of data on the newspaper industry worldwide. (...) It covers more than 70 countries and territories where newspapers are published, and the annual report presents vital statistics and analyses of both the industry as a whole, as well as individual media markets.

The well known Editors Weblog, a publication of the World Editors Forum, and the SFN - Shaping the Future of the Newspaper Blog are migrated to Drupal!
In collaboration with Drupal service provider Berger Schmidt the WAN-IFRA - World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers integrated both blogs in the existing multi-site-setup, and during that imported the existing users as well as approximately 25.000 articles from the MySQL-database of the previously used publishing-platform Movable Type.

The World Editors Forum is the organization within the World Association of Newspapers devoted to newspaper editors worldwide.
The Editors Weblog (...), launched in January 2004, is a WEF initiative designed to facilitate the diffusion of information relevant to newspapers and their editors.

WAN-IFRA Research encompasses known brands such as Shaping the Future of the Newspaper (SFN) and World Press Trends (WPT).
The SFN Blog provides related information for a global audience of publishers and newspaper executives.

Upgrade to Drupal 6
At first Berger Schmidt upgraded the CMS Drupal from version 5 to 6. During that the content of the old site (over 500 images organised in around 80 projects) was transferred automatically, reducing the editorial effort.
Responsive Web Design
To ensure compatibility to mobile devices like the Apple iPad or the Apple iPhone the Adobe Flash format was replaced by HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
The web experts Berger Schmidt programmed a custom Drupal theme which displays the layout, typography and images in a flexible way. This approach allows the website to respond to screen resolutions of different devices (desktop, tablet, smartphone etc.) in a flexible way.
This so called Responsive Design is controlled with (CSS) Media Queries and can easily be upgraded for new kinds of displays.
Slideshow with jQuery
For the display of images in a slideshow, a custom Drupal module was programmed. The module utilizes the JavaScript library jQuery to offer the wanted functions (play, pause, pager, animations) of the slideshow.
